This is my first official post for the year 2015. I know the previous posts say January, but that was a lot of catching up. Urgh!!!! It's so hard to stay on top of things, but I want a record of all of my experiences to share with any readers, so I will do my best. On that note...my para (whom I love so, and miss so) retired in December. As of now, I am on my own. Hopefully someone that loves books and technology will come knocking soon to fill the para position. We will see...
Until then, along with ALL of my other responsibilities I want to focus on the GAVS KIDS Classes, Survivor AR Challenges, and SSCMS Stallion Newsletter. Here we go...
The journey started with this bunch of students, I call the GAVS KIDS. Some of them have moved away, but there will always be the students that were the pilot. KUDOS GAVS KIDDOS!

More to catch up on...
Phase 2 of the project was for the students to distribute the kind words. They were "stuck" all over the school for people to find. We watched many faces brighten, as they read the little notes of encouragement. It was so much fun!
Remember When I said...busy week?
We had a great week at SSCMS!
Post-it Project Phase 1
We decided to do something kind. While the Media Madness was going on, we decided to take advantage of all of the traffic coming in-and-out. Students were encouraged to write something anonymous on a post-it note that would be later given to someone.
Playing Catch-up....
Now that I'm in charge of the school newsletter, I haven't been posting regularly. In fact my last post dates back to when I took over the newsletter. So... here goes trying to post all of our accomplishments that have taken place. I remember back in October, we had a Pumpkin Book Character Contest. The students created a pumpkin based on a character from a book of their choice. It was crazy! Crazy, good. It was the week of Halloween, and the Media Center was hopping. Along with the Pumpkin Book Characters, we had Book Fair, Red Ribbon Week, and the Post-it project. It was busy!
